The Data Express DE75 is a steel-constructed drive carrier and receiving frame for internally mounting a low-profile (up to 1" high), 3.5" form factor drive into any standard or undersized half-height, 5.25" peripheral bay. The DE75 is available in models which support SAS/SATA 3Gb/s, SCSI Ultra160, Serial ATA (SATA) or Parallel ATA (PATA) Ultra ATA/133 interfaces and in many cases, is downward-compatible with drives from earlier technologies.
Data Express 75 Parallel ATA drive carriers can be used with Data Express 75 Universal Serial ATA receiving frames, allowing earlier-technology Parallel ATA drives to continue to be used with a Serial ATA system. Newer SAS/SATA DE75 receiving frames will not support PATA.
