utilizes the latest bridge technology to translate the data from your IDE drive to Serial ATA inside the carrier. With a DataPort 5+ Serial ATA frame installed your
computer, you can switch between your new Serial ATA drives mounted in DataPort 5+ Serial ATA carriers and your legacy IDE drives mounted in SATA-to-IDE
DataPort 5+ carriers. Your IDE drives can make use of the same Serial ATA DataPort frame that is standard on many new SATA only PC systems from leading
PC manufacturers that include removable drives. You no longer need to worry if any given drive is Serial ATA or IDE--they both will work in the same CRU-DataPort receiving frame.
